At Home Nursing Care Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce our first ever home health scholarship recipient, Hope Van de Wiele. Hope is a Certified Nursing Assistant who will use the scholarship to obtain her Home Health Aide Certification.
Hope is an employee of At Home Nursing Care, Inc., although being an employee is not a pre-requisite for being awarded a scholarship. Her manager encouraged her to apply. Hope entered the home care field after a previous career in education.
“I was looking to work somewhere where I was valued as a person, not just someone who works a certain position, and I really feel appreciated here at At Home Nursing Care, ” she stated.
The foundation scholarship is geared towards bringing more caring and professional people into the rewarding industry of in home care, or advancing the careers of current home care employees.
While Hope works for At Home Nursing Care, Inc., being an employee is not required be awarded a scholarship. Anyone who meets the criteria stated on the application, such as living in San Diego County or Los Angeles County, among other requirements, is encouraged to apply.
